Vehicle Description
This 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Prototype No. 1 is powered by a
prototype supercharged engine developing over 600hp, paired with a
6-speed manual transmission. This vehicle was conceived and built
under the supervision of Carroll Shelby and was extensively
test-tracked by him. It features a bespoke cold-air intake,
prototype belt-tension system and an air-to-air intercooler. Built
on a 2011 Ford Mustang GT chassis, it incorporates a custom
Shelby/Eibach racing suspension - used on only 35 of the 159
production GT350s - and includes all-new urethane suspension
components. The vehicle wears a white exterior with Guardsman Blue
stripes, applied by the Shelby paint shop. It retains all original
CSN plates, includes Carroll Shelby's signature on the dashboard
and the pen used to sign it, and comes with an XL GT350 jacket.
This prototype also features a prototype interior upholstered in
premium calf leather. Additional components include a prototype
hood, a three-piece front valance and two sets of prototype wheels
- only 12 of which were produced. Accompanied by comprehensive
documentation, the car has been maintained as originally built and
has accumulated its miles through track and event use. 975 actual
miles. CarFax shows Ford Motor Company manufacturer safety recall
