No expense was spared on the meticulous three-year rotisserie
restoration on this rust-free Oklahoma 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30
Holiday Coupe, which is one of 2,574 produced in 1970, and one of
only 1,032 with a 4-speed manual transmission. The concours-level
restoration had the highest level of attention to detail, including
all factory stickers and markings in the engine bay and underneath
the car. It is powered by the correct 455ci/370hp engine with the
correct Muncie M21 close-ratio manual 4-speed transmission and
Hurst floor-mounted competition shifter, correct TM code 3.42
posi-traction rear with W-27 aluminum differential cover and
correct B85 trim. The car is finished in the correct Matador Red
(Code 75) color with a black interior and has 15-inch Super Sport
rims. This vehicle is equipped with the W-30 package, which
includes a W-25 fiberglass hood with cold air-induction system,
low-restriction air cleaner, chromed hood tie-downs, lightweight
red plastic inner fender liners, front disk brakes, dual exhaust,
sports-style outside mirrors, W-30 badging and wide painted black
stripes on the side and hood. Recently, this car went to Thornton
Reproductions in Quakertown, PA, where it was tuned and received a
clutch service. It also received a new tilt steering column,
steering wheel, reverse and neutral lockout switches, correct
factory ignition, new battery, correct B85 trim package and new
master cylinder with an increased bore size from 1 to 1.25 inches
for increased stopping power. The car also has new custom-made
Oldsmobile-branded carpeted floor mats. All receipts for the full
restoration, including recently completed work, will accompany the
sale. ** PREVIEW
