Vehicle Description
This 1972 Honda Z600 is powered by an air-cooled 598cc SOHC
parallel-twin cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed manual
transaxle, delivering 36hp and 31.8 ft/lbs of torque. The engine
utilizes a Keihin-Seiki side-draft carburetor, and power is routed
to the front wheels. Suspension consists of McPherson struts up
front and a rear beam axle with leaf springs. The front disc and
rear drum brakes provide stopping power. This Z600 has undergone
maintenance, including a new fuel tank, fuel pump, starter, tires,
spark plugs, wiper motor, weatherstripping and battery. Exterior
features include round headlights, a rear glass liftgate and
10-inch four-hole steel wheels with Honda-branded center caps.
Originally blue, it was repainted before the seller's ownership,
with the finish maintaining a deep shine despite minor bubbling in
lower areas. The torsion rods on the hatchback have been removed to
preserve the original hatch clamps but are included in the sale and
can be reinstalled. The interior features custom gray patterned
cloth upholstery with Honda-embroidered door panels and seats. The
original pop-out rear quarter windows are intact, and additional
equipment includes a padded dashboard, overhead console controls, a
replacement glove box, an AM radio and a heater. The three-spoke
steering wheel has a Honda-branded wrap that is removable,
revealing a wheel with two cracks but full functionality.
Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a
6,000-rpm redline and a functional fuel gauge. The rear bench seat,
upholstered to match the front, folds forward for expanded cargo
space. All interior functions, including the glove box, map lights,
seat belts and retractable antenna, are operational. ** PREVIEW
