CREAM PUFF HERE!!! - 1965 Oldsmobile 98 "Luxury Sedan", 425ci V8,
Auto Trans and showing 99,035 original miles... this one is AS NICE
AS THEY GET! Luxury did not get any better than this in 1965... the
Oldsmobile 98 "LS" had it all going on from luxury & prestige to
POWER with the 1st year 425ci "Super Rocket Ultra High Compression"
V8 putting out 360hp STOCK. And the power was soo smooth and quiet
you can hardly hear the car running when inside and it is idling.
This one is RIGHT OUT OF MY PERSONAL COLLECTION and have owned for
17+ years! When I received this car we went through the engine
(just had the heads gone through, new water pump, fuel pump, carb
professionally rebuilt to OEM standards, belts, hoses, new exhaust
front to back etc and so the car is a true pleasure to drive! I
have driven it many hundred miles in my ownership and would drive
it anywhere. After the engine work was done the body was
professionally refinished in its correct exterior "Nocturne Mist
Poly" paint and it was NOT JUST A MASK AND SPRAY job. This car was
finished down to the inner door jams (all interior door panels
removed to properly repaint etc) so the body paint is of a very
high quality (10 out of 10) and looks as good as it did when it was
completed. Chrome bumpers front and back were refinished to present
as new and all other chrome remained very presentable. Interior is
mostly original except for period correct carpet replaced (correct
color as born with) so the interior is striking in appearance. Lots
of options when this car came out however due to age some of them
are not working (A/C, heat etc) however all the lights, power
windows, fuel gauge and speedo & odometer are working as designed
and what a COOL FEATURE these had in the rear seat area.. ladies
were treated to a lighted built in mirror for makeup purposes,
tissue holders and a nice amount of pocket storage for items not
fitting in their purse! It is a stunning example and a true
