Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1998 BMW E36 M3 Euro/RoW six-speed coupe. Imported from Japan two years ago and part of the personal collection of a BMW enthusiast client of ours, this E36 M3 slicktop is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic over black leather interior. With just under 79,000 kilometers, or approximately 49,000 miles, condition inside and out is consistent with what you would expect for a sub-50k-mile example.

Body is straight and sold with excellent paint and a tidy engine bay and underside; Factory 17-inch Style 39 wheels are wearing Falken Azneis tires with 2022 date codes and plenty of tread. Interior is fitted with manual "Vader" sport seats trimmed in black leather; original instrumentation including stereo and climate controls are working properly. A/C blows cold.

The E36 M3 has been a perennial favorite of ours around here, but what makes this car so desirable from a performance standpoint is the S50B32 engine and six-speed manual transmission - something we never got in the North American market, and good for an additional 80 horsepower over a US-spec E36 M3. This example has seen a few tasteful and mild upgrades to enhance drivability while maintaining a stock appearance, including a BMW E60 545 shifter, Supersprint stainless exhaust and MTS Technik coilovers. The exhaust note and handling improvements are subtle - just enough for E36 expert to notice and appreciate, but not so much as to be obnoxious or unduly harsh. Additional recent service includes a complete brake job, belts and all fluids and filters.

Our consigner client recently drove this M3 on a two-day rally from Highlands, NC to Chattanooga and back - the car performed flawlessly on the 800-mile round trip.
