This 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado Deluxe has had work consisting of replacing the transmission, heater core, fuel pump, brake booster, and rear shocks. Finished in red over matching vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 425ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.
Equipment includes RARE bucket seats, a center console, an analog clock, a cassette stereo, power windows, a red vinyl roof covering, pop-up headlights, power-assisted steering and brakes, 15” steel wheels, and turbine covers. This Toronado is now offered with spare parts, a Protect-O-Plate, manufacturer’s literature, recent service records, and a New York registration.
The car left the factory finished in red and was repainted in the 1980s. Exterior features include a red vinyl roof covering, hideaway headlights, a power antenna, a hidden fuel filler neck behind the license plate, and a chrome rear bumper with integrated reverse lights and cutouts for the polished dual exhaust exits.
Steel 15″ wheels wear bright hubcaps and are mounted with 235/75 Hankook Optimo H724 white-stripe tires. A full-size spare is located in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, while braking is handled by power-assisted drums. Work under current ownership consisted of servicing the parking brake and replacing the brake booster and rear air shock absorbers.
The front bucket seats and a rear bench are upholstered in red vinyl joined by matching door panels and carpets. Equipment includes a center console, power windows, an analog clock, a cassette stereo, and Oldsmobile branded carpets. The air conditioning, power trunk lid, and rear windows do not work.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 130-mph barrel-style speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 23k miles, 1,500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 425ci Rocket V8 features a dual-snorkel air cleaner housing and was factory rated at 385 horsepower. Work under current ownership consisted of replacing the heater core and fuel pump.
Power is delivered to the front wheels via a Turbo Hydra-Matic three-speed automatic transmission. The transmission is said to have been replaced in 2023.
A removed factory radio and spare parts accompany the vehicle along with the manufacturer’s literature, recent service records, and the Protect-O-Plate.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its expired New York registration.
Car will come with OEM uninstalled options. These options have NOT been installed because I decided I would leave that at the discretion of the new owner. Because of this I stopped purchasing additional parts to make the SOME complete OEM parts to the complete option. Here is a list of some of the options I either have as a complete or partial set of parts to install and or need additional parts:
1. PERFECT CIRCLE OEM CRUISE CONTROL
2. OEM UNDER THE DASH OLDSMOBILE 8 TRACK PLAYER
3. REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER
4. SIDE MARKER LIGHTS
5. DRIVER SIDE POWER SEAT SWITCH AND THE DOOR PANEL ESCUTCHEON FOR THE POWER SEAT SWITCH.
