Simply sweet. This orphaned Pontiac is about as good as it gets for a 50's affordable cruiser. A not too distant restoration with a beautiful coat of it's original Star Mist Blue paint and topped off with a perfect two tone combination of Clair Blue. Incredibly eye catching! Add to that the expensively done rechroming of the front grille, nice clean, original bumpers and trimwork. Practically new (Less than 100 miles) correct wide white wall tires, that illuminating hood ornament and you'll be the talk of the car show circuit. They will assume you paid far more!
It gets even better inside with a completely restored interior. Seating, carpet, door panels and headliner. No expense spared there either. A very close match to the original and oh so early 1950's. The dashboard is original with almost perfect chrome everywhere.
A nicely equipped car too! Starting off with the reliable and sturdy Silver Streak straight 8 that runs like a sewing machine. That's mated to a Hydramatic automatic transmission so no clutching and shifting. Pontiac took care of that for you. A pushbutton AM radio (inop), electric clock, Heater/defroster, Outside spotlight and multitudes of courtesy lights (including the glove box and engine bay and both work!).
This was a clean, virtually rust free car before it's restoration so all panels are original, straight and clean. The undercarriage just the same. Incredibly clean! Sold new in PA with some of the new car paperwork still in the glovebox!
Made mechanically safe for regular driving with lots of new parts and maintenance performed. A new fuel pump, tank and lines. New brake master cylinder. Rebuilt transmission and rear shocks (New fronts are included in the box as well.). Just a fantastic driver. Only remaining issue is an inoperative speedometer. A new cable is installed but not connected as it needs some modifications. The only cable available for these cars is a universal one. That's literally it. Very turn key. Very reliable.
This car is the definition of our business model. Affordable classics. You'd have to search long an hard to find something this nice for this price. Buy it before I decide to keep it. I'm serious! This car will just make you smile...
