Paint

  • Paint matches well all the way around on each steel body panel

  • Finish is very smooth and shiny

  • Scratches pretty much don’t exist

  • repaint was performed at sometime prior to current owner

  • Being extremely critical, there are a few pin head size imperfections in the hood and trunk area that can hardly be seen except under extremely bright flourescent lighting

  • Side painted panels may also have a few imperfections & knicks (Rt fender& both doors, left & Rt ¼,( see pics)

Body

  • All body panels seem to have been expertly prepared prior to application of paint / Panels are very straight and correct appearing ( see pics)

Magnetic Paint Gauge

  • We took a couple random readings on each steel body panel. Hood, Roof, &Trunk readings were mostly in the 11-13 mils range. Stripe readings were naturally a little higher. Side panels were more in the 12-14 mils approx range. Lower quarters and doors all showed magnetic pull to confirm presents of metal

Bright work

  • All bright work appears to be fastened securely. In general, maybe not appear new, but with a very bright light shined on, all seems well cared for and like maybe a few year old car. Bumpers, window surrounding moldings, mirrors, door handles, wiper arms, Z28 logos, show no damage and have a nice shine. Slight dimple on piece above drivers side windshield.(see pics)

  • Glass appears to be nice and clear with no discolor, cracks, wiper marks, bullseyes or delamination. Windshield has a couple pin head sized knicks from normal road wear (not directly in drivers view)(above mirror &

along right side edge) Drivers window has some typical verticle light scratches from window cranking

  • Windshield label is Shat-R-Proof, 4 side windows are Soft-Ray, Rear glass is PPG Herculite. Side & Rear window have a tint applied

Interior

  • Mostly stock configuration as they typically looked with a change to hounds tooth cloth that was popular for its look and comfort over the original vinyl (see pics)

  • Headliner has good color and stitching, seat belt shoulder belts mounted on factory storage clips, sun visors are with good color and solid backing inside, door and trim panels on both sides have good color and condition, arm rests, carpets, and console show a little wear,

  • Seating materials are supple with good color
