*1967 Toronado Background**
I am the second owner
Garage kept
Mileage 29,000 miles.
Majority of the work was done by professional shops around Central Florida.
I have invested well over $30,000 in restoring it.
Work Done on the Car Since 2009**
- Stripped the paint and repaired a small amount of rust around the trunk and windshield.
- There is no Bondo on the car; all defects were repaired with welding and minor fairing.
- Repainted with Tahoe Turquoise lacquer that was an option in 1967.
- Preemptively pulled and rebuilt the engine since it had been sitting
- New vacuum and water hoses all around.
- Remanufactured power steering pump and steering gear.
- Replaced radiator with remanufactured one.
- New shocks.
- Replaced all four window actuators with rebuilt units.
- Rebuilt the vacuum-operated headlight system.
- Installed new cloth interior using correct N.O.S. materials (some spare material included).
- Installed new fuel pump.
- Rebuilt distributor and vacuum advance system.
- Many small parts, badges, etc.
**Work Done within the Last 6 Months: *
- Replaced 60-amp alternator with rebuilt unit.
- New battery.
- Installed remanufactured correct QuadraJet carburetor.
- Replaced Delco A/C compressor with remanufactured unit.
- New A/C condenser coil and dryer.
- All ignition parts (points, plugs, etc.).
- New brake lines, cylinders on all four wheels, and a new master cylinder.
**What Needs to Be Done: **
- The Wonder-Bar Radio is not working (power antenna works but is currently disconnected).
- Both bumpers need to be re-chromed (last done in 2009, requiring another redo).
- Original exhaust remains: the pipe is fine, but the muffler has recently developed a leak. It needs replacement along with both resonators.
**Overall Condition: **
The car looks and drives well. Wherever possible, new OEM or high-quality remanufactured parts have been used. All significant work has been completed by professional mechanics, with smaller maintenance tasks handled by the owner.
Extras:
- Hundreds of pictures documenting all stages of restoration.
- Original factory window sticker, owner's manual, and GM Shop Manual.
- Additional information is reportedly available in a notebook kept in the owner's office.
