SL500 Roadster. This SL is finished in attractive Imperial Red over
beige leather with a matching red hard top and black convertible
soft top. It was special ordered through RBM of Atlanta and
optioned with the SL1 sport package and Xenon headlights. It
remained with its original owner for 25 years and has been serviced
by RBM almost exclusively. This SL500 presents beautifully
throughout showing only some light interior wear - the paint
quality is very nice, the leather is soft and the convertible top
is in excellent condition.
Factory 18-inch AMG Monoblocks are wearing nearly full tread
Michelin Pilot Sports. Recent service has included valve cover
gaskets, vacuum hoses, an ignition coil, battery, sun visor and
clips, hard top headliner, coco mats (originals included), fan
controller, alignment, cabin filter, brake flush, third brake lamp
assembly and refinishing of the front and rear bumpers.
Many regard 1998 as the best year for the R129 as it pairs the more
potent M119 V8 with the five-speed automatic gearbox for a
one-year-only combination. This example is nicer than most and a
gorgeous spec. Books, tools, wind deflector, service records, one
remote key and two regular keys are included with the sale. For
