This 1987 GMC Sierra Classic 3500 (V3500) is a selectively
restored, super clean truck that spent its life in California and
Oregon. The last owner spent a ton of money on this 1 Ton pickup
and made a lot of tasteful, cool upgrades to increase performance
and reliability. This is an awesome squarebody!! The body on this
truck is super straight and clean. It was professionally repainted
in its original color of Light Blue Metallic and the paint looks
excellent. They removed the moldings and trim when it was repainted
to give it a clean look. The bumpers and grille appear to be
original and are still really nice. The bed was professionally
lined at the same time it was painted. The underside of this truck
is also extra clean and we found no rust issues with this
truck.
The interior is extremely nice. The original bench seat was
restored with new foam cushion and it was also reupholstered. The
original door panels were redone and they also did a new headliner.
It has new window seals and door rubbers when the truck was
repainted. They added a new instrument cluster by Classic
Instruments. It has a rubber floor mat with Dynamat underneath. The
headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work. This truck has tilt wheel. The horn
and windshield wipers work and the heat and AC are also
working.
Mechanically this truck is top notch!! It runs and drives awesome.
The engine is the original 7.4L 454 V8 that runs strong with no
issues or red flags that we found. It sounds great with the dual
Magnaflow exhaust. It has newer plugs and wires, newer distributor,
high torque starter, new AC compressor, new aluminum be-cool
radiator, and dual Optima Batteries. Both fuel tanks were replaced
with new tanks, sending units, and fuel pumps. It has a Turbo 400
Automatic transmission that shifts great. The transmission was just
rebuilt and has only 500 miles on it. It was a high performance
rebuild ($5,000) with a deep aluminum transmission pan and we have
the receipt. It has the np205 transfer case (re-sealed) and the 4WD
works like it should. They added a ORD twin stick shifter. The rear
axle is a Corporate 14 Bolt with 4.56 gears and a factory limited
slip. It was totally rebuilt and has a Mag-Hytec Differential
Cover. The front axle is a Dana 60 kingpin with 4.56 gears. It was
also totally rebuilt. (Both axles have new gears, seals, etc). The
brakes were all redone with new rotors, pads, wheel bearings, rear
drums, rear shoes, and wheel cylinders. The suspension is a really
nice setup on this truck. It is a 6 Inch lift with soft ride
springs and ORD indestructible shackles and sway bar. The rear is
factory springs with ORD shackle flip and ORD indestructible
shackles. This truck rides great!! The steering was upgraded to ORD
crossover steering with an ORD steering box and stabilizer. This is
all sitting on beautiful aftermarket aluminum wheels and BFG Mud
Terrain Tires size 315/75/16. Beautiful truck!!
