Cave-Owned for almost 5 Years with over $45K of New PartsShown here
is a 1995 Land Rover Defender 90 pushing 200 HP with a Stage 2
Turbo running 18 PSI of boost (almost double the factory HP). The
Defender was factory-built with the 300TDI engine and sourced from
Villentrois, France. We purchased this Defender in 2020 from M.
Trefous, a farm owner who used this Defender... for farm
activities. After importing it to the United States, we began a
thorough upgrade process that led to its current form, now
affectionately nicknamed the 'Red Hawg.' The Red Hawg has always
been turn key after we went through an extensive amount of
maintenance. It drives great down the road and can perform
off-road. If you were to build this same Defender, the parts and
labor alone would be over $80,000?not including the initial
purchase of the vehicle.Over the course of our nearly 5 years of
ownership, the Defender has sadly only been driven less than 500
miles, including one proper Land Rover off-road event to Uwharrie
National Forest?proving its mettle without wearing it out. We have
driven it over the road to Charleston, SC and it has more than
enough power to exceed any interstate speed limit. The Red Hawg
stands today as a well-balanced and mechanically sorted truck,
built to perform on the trail or cruise confidently on the
pavement.Under the hood is the iconic 300TDI turbo diesel engine,
the sought-after 16L variant without EGR for improved reliability
and response. Mated to an R380 5-speed manual gearbox and the
bulletproof LT230 transfer case with locking center differential,
this Defender is engineered for true go-anywhere capability. The red
exterior gives this Defender its name and sets the tone for its
rugged presence. Inside, it retains a functional, purpose-built
interior with weather-resistant vinyl seating, upgraded shifters,
and clean, simple trim that's ready for adventure. This Defender has
undergone an extensive mechanical overhaul with an emphasis on
longevity, ride quality, and performance. Parts were sourced
primarily from Turner Engineering, Allisport, Rovers North, ARB,
Old Man Emu, KC Daylighter, Warn Winch, and other brands trusted by
professionals around the world. Here is a list of parts installed
