Description:
This 1973 Triumph TR6 was refurbished under previous ownership in
red over black vinyl and velour upholstery, and it is powered by a
2.5-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission
with overdrive. Equipment includes a black convertible top, Lucas
PL-style headlights, 15? steel wheels, a luggage rack, PerTronix
electronic ignition, a burl walnut dashboard insert, a wood-trimmed
steering wheel and shift knob, air conditioning, a heater, and a
retro-style digital stereo.
Interior:
The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel fronts a burl walnut
dashboard and refurbished instrumentation including a 140-mph
speedometer and a tachometer while gauges for oil pressure, coolant
temperature, voltage, and fuel level are mounted in the center of
the dashboard. The bucket seats were reupholstered in black vinyl
with velour inserts, and a replacement dashboard pad, interior
panels, window cranks, and carpets were installed under previous
ownership. Further appointments include a locking glovebox, a
wooden shift knob, a heater, an under-dash air conditioning unit,
and a retro-style digital stereo.
Exterior:
The car was finished in Carmine (82) from the factory and it was
repainted circa 2013. Exterior details include a black convertible
top, a plastic air dam, Lucas PL-style headlights, Union Jack
decals, and a chrome-plated rear luggage rack. Silver 15? steel
wheels feature polished trim rings and are mounted with 205/70
Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc
and rear drum brakes.
Drivetrain:
The 2.5-liter inline-six was reportedly overhauled around 2013, and
the compression ratio is said to have been raised to 9.5:1. Dual
Zenith-Stromberg carburetors are fitted, and PerTronix electronic
ignition and a spin-on oil filter adaptor have been added. The
four-speed manual transmission and J-type overdrive are said to
have been overhauled along with the rear hubs during the
refurbishment, and the clutch was replaced at that time.
