This is an original owner, 7 speed manual, 2019 1LT GS w/ approx. 1500 miles (not a typo). It is Black with Jet Black interior. The car weighs about 3400#s, has 460hp/465#ft, active dampers & differential with MPSS ZP 285F on 19s and 335R on 20s.
I ordered it after finding out the C8 was to be auto only. I had intended to order a Stingray w/ Z51 but when the dealership Senior Sales Rep who specialized in Corvettes overheard that conversation, he loudly interjected through the office wall; ’You DON’T want to do that, just order a Grand Sport’. After some discussion, I realized that was good advice, ordered accordingly and took delivery June 24, 2019 with 10 miles on it. The car remains all original except for fresh rear tires which were replaced in 2024 due to a puncture in one of them (note I still have the other original TPC spec tire). It has always been kept in temperature-controlled storage and extremely well maintained (e.g. only used alcohol free fuel).
While ordered as an all-business, pure driver’s car for potential track days & AutoX, that never happened. Instead, it became a very pleasurable sunny Sunday car for local winding roads and just listening to the powertrain. Quite cathartic to row a stick in the last of the most capable front engine versions of the Corvette. The auto-blip is super crisp and predictable so it is easy to enjoy the car for folks like me who are not that skilled at heel / toeing. The result of sharp wheel inputs makes you smile too at how precise the car changes position. The car has also shown to be popular at stop lights via many unsolicited compliments. Good news too is the car has never been modified, raced, hit, crashed, nor abused during ownership. Never even took the top off for fear of dropping it! However, life has gotten busy so it is time to find it a new home.
So, if you want a high perf/$, extreme pleasure sports car that can be formidable on track, or you just want to easily turn express way entrance ramps into HPDEs, make off ramp posted speeds comedic and/or put your date in your lap with just a lane change, then you came to the right place.
