Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this beautiful 1988 Ford
Mustang GT Convertible in excellent condition with only 51,515
original miles. This Mustang looks fantastic, runs great, and is an
excellent driver. The Black over Smoke Gray is a beautiful color
combination that looks great on the car. The original codes for
paint and trim are on the door tag sticker, which is pictured in
this ad. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Mustang
GT with low miles that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an
unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for
more than the purchase price in years to come as the market on the
Fox body Mustangs is strong right now and on the rise. The low
original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car,
but also the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, showing the
mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, video, and
information to get a true sense of how nice, clean, and original
this Mustang GT Convertible really is.
There is a copy of the AutoCheck vehicle history report in this ad.
The report shows no accident history. We have driven this car over
40 miles since we purchased it. Suring that time it was completely
reliable with no issue and a pleasure to drive.
As a side note, this Ford Mustang is not a dealer auction vehicle.
We hand-pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come
from owners who expect their car to go to someone that will give
the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and
encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car
inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Mustang, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Black exterior is in nice driver condition. As one can see in
the photos the finish has a terrific gloss, deep shine, and smooth
finish. The convertible top is in great condition overall with no
holes or rips. Please note the car still has the correct glass rear
window, not the cheaper aftermarket replacement. The original
Hurricane wheels are in good condition with no curb rash and a nice
finish. The tires are brand new with less than ten miles on them
and correctly sized 225/60R15. There are no major imperfections
that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There are
some touch ups, cracks, spots on the bumpers, and other tiny
blemishes around the car that were too faint to show up in the
pictures, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five or
ten feet away. As one can see in the many photos of the underside
of the car, it is clean underneath. We have included specific
photos of the rear spring mounts, rockers, lower quarter panels,
and the area's most prone to rust to show how nice this car
looks.
Interior
The Smoke Gray interior in this Mustang is in fantastic condition.
The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are clear. The
dash and console are in great condition with no cracks or sun
damage. The seats are in great condition with no holes, rips, or
split seams. The original radio works and gets good reception. Most
importantly, the dash has never been cut or modified for an
aftermarket installation. The seat is not overly worn in the
typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The
carpet is like new condition with no stains, holes, tears. The door
panels are in excellent shape and the door pulls are solid and
intact. The jack and jack handle are still with the car. The
original space saver spare is still with the car. This Mustang has
never been smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of
cigarettes.
Mustang interiors from this era are not known to wear well,
especially for a convertible, and the excellent condition of this
interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention
this car has received throughout its life and another great
verification of the low original mileage.
Mechanical
This Mustang seems to be in good mechanical condition. The car
starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. It
drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In
the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the
highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking
to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there
are no vibrations or strange noises and the car performs quite well
overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The
transmission shifts well throughout the powerband. There is no blue
smoke when starting or driving the car. The car runs cool and does
not overheat. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean and
detailed as one can see in the photos.
The horn works as do all the exterior lights, dash lights, wipers,
power windows, and remote truck release. Both power mirrors work in
all four directions. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all
speeds. There are no "check engine" or other warning lights that
stay on. The power locks work to lock the doors, but not unlock.
The power convertible top also works well with no effort or binding
in the mechanism, the complete operation going up and down can be
seen in the video. The car has a very stiff ride. The a/c does not
blow cold. The car has a very healthy exhaust note as one can hear
in the video. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure
it is to drive this car, especially with the top down on a
beautiful day.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1988 Mustang GT is in great driver condition. The low
miles, the beautiful color combination, and the excellent overall
condition make this car especially important and hard to duplicate.
It is very hard to find a Mustang GT from this era that is still in
great original condition with low mileage as most were used and
abused. This Mustang always gets a ton of attention driving down
the road. It is apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care
of by its previous owners. The prices of Fox body Mustangs
increased considerably over the past several years. They are secure
and wise investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this
vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase
price with minimal effort.
Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call
with any questions.
As a licensed and registered dealer in The State of Ohio we are
required to collect sales tax for residents of Ohio with a rate
based on the buyer's county. Additionally, Ohio has a special sales
tax relationship with buyers who are going to register their car in
Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, or
South Carolina so we are also required to collect sales tax. Please
keep in mind the you will not be paying additional tax and you will
not be taxed twice. Buyers from those states will simply pay of
portion of their sales tax to Ohio and they will then be credited
with that amount when they transfer the title in their home state.
Buyers from all other states will not owe any sales tax to The
State of Ohio. For all buyers, including residents of Ohio, all
other states, and all other countries, we are required to collect
necessary paperwork and have the current title transferred in the
buyer's name and address. This process takes two days at the Ohio
BMV and any buyer should expect to receive their title within 30
days of purchase, although it is usually closer to one week to
receive the title once we receive the returned paperwork.
