It is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine producing 433hp, mated to a Ferrari 599 F1-style 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and a manual mode. Maserati produced approximately 300 of these models for the U.S. market. The GTS features distinctive side skirts and a special exhaust system with silencing baffles to adjust the exhaust tone from normal to sport.
