Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign, the Maserati Bora offered a luxurious and stylish take on the 1970s mid-engine supercar formula. While its competitors were largely comprised of no-nonsense vehicles built without consideration for practicality or comfort, Maserati's engineers insisted the Bora be (theoretically) usable on a daily basis. Central to the concept was the use of Citroën's famed hydro-pneumatic system, which not only helped smooth the ride but was also utilized to allow the pedal cluster to be moved to suit the needs of the driver.

The entire car was thoroughly insulated to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness - most notably, the cabin was separated from the engine compartment by dual-pane glass and a carpeted aluminum cover. Inside, leather swathed nearly every surface. Standard amenities were extensive, with the aforementioned adjustable pedal box being augmented with power windows and air conditioning on each Bora produced. While European-market Boras were built with a 4.7L V8 producing 306hp, US buyers received a 4.9L unit to offset power losses from emissions equipment. By 1976, all markets enjoyed the larger motor. In total, only 564 Boras were produced, of which only 275 were built with the 4.9L V8.

The stunning 1973 Maserati Bora 4.9 Coupe featured here is finished in gorgeous Blu Medio (Medium Blue) over a Nero (Black) leather interior. This incredible motorcar has been restored by marque experts, 360 Fabrication, with no expense spared and is now ready to be shown or driven. With its high level of standard/optional amenities, superb restoration, and rarity, this is the perfect Maserati for any premier collection. It is with great pride we offer this investment-grade Bora 4.9 to the most sophisticated collector, investor, or enthusiast who understands and appreciates the investment potential of this iconic model!
