“Times Change, Quality is Constant” - Bentley
In an era when excess still had style and gentlemen had their watches set by Patek to match the delivery time of their Bentley, the Azure was born. This is not a convertible. This is a rolling estate. A 5.34-meter-long performance of British grandeur, hand-built in Crewe and equipped with everything that is good, heavy, and utterly delightful.
Beneath the imposing hood lies the renowned 6.75-liter V8 turbo engine, delivering 389 horsepower and combining the torque of a freight train with the refinement of a gentlemen’s club in Mayfair. Sprinting is un-British, but should it be necessary, you’ll reach 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds.
The Azure Mk1 was built between 1995 and 2003 and cost more than an average house at the time. It is the last Bentley to be truly hand-built—before the Volkswagen era. Featuring Connolly leather and walnut wood throughout, the exterior is finished in Peacock Mica with a Blue Cloth roof, while the interior boasts Cotswold and French Navy Hide paired with Dark Blue Wilton Carpets. A combination that was undoubtedly approved by the Queen herself.
This particular example is the pinnacle among the 1,085 Azure Mk1s ever built. Originally delivered in Fort Lauderdale, it was first ordered by an American with impeccable taste and style. Not long after, the Azure moved to Germany with a German expat. There, it was eventually noticed and purchased by none other than Gijs Veerman—the Netherlands' leading Bentley specialist.
For the past six years, this car has been his personal pride and joy, used exclusively for an average of just 1,500 kilometers per year—mostly for Bentley Drivers Club trips to England. During this time, he brought the car to a level that can only be achieved through experience, passion, and craftsmanship: perfection.
And then, there’s the history—one to make any enthusiast drool. Fully documented from day one, including the original order form, delivery report, and complete service history. Everything checks out, and it always has.
Will we see you soon?
