Driven offers this well documented first-generation Mustang GT with
service receipts from the mid-eighties through to present. This is
the second time that this lovely driver quality Mustang has passed
through our hands. It is an export model (D.S.O. 91) documented as
originally airman owned (6/25/1965). Rebuilt engine and
transmission are date matching. The GT Performance Package covered
only the V8 powered Mustangs, which included a variety of interior
and exterior cosmetic upgrades with a unique instrument panel with
additional gauges. Compared to the standard Mustang, the Mustang GT
was equipped with disc brakes, stiffer springs, a stronger front
stabilizer bar, and quicker steering. Ford offered the GT package
on all Mustang body styles (GT Hardtop, GT Convertible, and GT
Fastback). This particular GT Hardtop has a White vinyl roof in
excellent condition that matches its Wimbledon White exterior. The
Pony interior has two tone blue/white crinkle vinyl with Rally Pac
gauges and central console AC. This Mustang has an ''A-code'' 289
cubic inch (4.7L) motor with four-barrel carburetor coupled to the
3 speed cruise-o-matic transmission and Lincoln rear end. Don't
miss a great opportunity to own this 1965 Mustang GT. Available now
at Driven, in Houston TX.
