This week Canyon State Classics brings to market a beautiful 1962
Volkswagen Sunroof Beetle. This rare little Beetle has undergone a
Cal Look transformation into the awesome show winning Bug you see
before you. The car has lived its whole life in California and
Arizona so you know it is solid as a rock! It recently finished a
full restoration, and is ready for the open road. Don't miss your
chance to own a truly spectacular Beetle, which will get looks
everywhere it goes....Bid Now! As a side note for any true Beetle
fanatic, this example is a identical twin to Herbie the Love Bug.
Stripe and number this cutie and you have a perfect replica of the
movie car! It even includes a large size Herbie movie poster to
hang in the garage. An original Herbie holds the record as the most
valuable Beetle in the world!
The following is a list of options as this Beetle is currently
equipped:
-1600cc Dual Port Engine (Fresh Off VW Mexico Production Line)
-4 Speed Manual Transmission
-Factory VW Exhaust
-Smooth Cap VW Wheels
-New Tires
-Beautiful Early Steering Wheel
-OEM Gray Interior
-Custom Sound System
The body on the car is straight as an arrow and the pan is very
solid. The paint on the car is finished in an eye soothing White
Pearl which looks very nice. I would describe the overall paint as
above driver quality with only a few flaws from age. The car has
been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is
solid as a rock as any California car should be. The car is riding
on nice 15" VW smoothie wheels and has radial tires. All of the
chrome on the bug is like new with no age or pitting to be found.
The factory sunroof functions flawlessly, has good canvas, and
seals up perfect. This roof is all original German components not
aftermarket or installed later...FACTORY OEM
The interior is also in brand new shape all around. The seats are
all in very good condition and look perfect, which shows the
quality of materials used in this car. The headliner is beautiful
and the gray mats finish the interior perfectly! The carpets are
all very nice are not worn or damaged. The dash is nicely painted
to match the exterior really set the interior off. All gauges and
controls function as they should. All lights, gauges switches, and
accessories work as they should. The bonnet is nicely finished with
a restored gas tank, and matching spare tire. The brand new off
white steering wheel really brings the package together. The car
also has a great custom sound system with most of the components
well hidden, but has a great sound and also set up for XM Sat
radio!
Mechanically, this VW runs GREAT! The car starts right up and
shifts smooth as silk. A lot of time and money was spent under the
hood of this little beetle. The motor is a fresh crate with less
than 5,000 miles on it. It was definitely built to show and go! The
clutch and transmission were also overhauled at the time of the
engine build so they are reliable as well. I was told total cost of
the engine build alone is well over $3000. All together current
owner has over $30k in this bug including purchase cost years
back.
All in all, this is truly one of the coolest Beetles on the road
today. Its early vintage sets it apart from all of the others. This
car can not be duplicated for my asking price, I dare you to try.
It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its
previous owner. This is your chance to get an like new classic
Beetle for a fraction of the original cost. The car has a clean
title.Any further questions please call Jon at 480-703-2337.
