The Mercedes Benz 280SE luxury sedan is considered a classic,
admired by collectors and enthusiasts for its style, engineering
and luxury. It is a perfect illustration of the automobile that is
"engineered like no other car in the world". Nice original versions
of this Mercedes model are quite rare on today's resale market.
Traditional Mercedes-
The current owner has possessed this partially restored 1971
Mercedes 280SE for the past 5 years and has documentation for
maintenance/service that has been performed on the car. The factory
white exterior has been professionally wrapped in white vinyl, a
very nice job. Accents include the trademark Mercedes chrome grill,
fog lights and steel wheels with full hubcaps that mount nearly new
General Altimax radials.
Factory Interior-
The factory original Navy Blue MB interior with walnut trim is in
outstanding condition. Comfort features include bucket seats, cold
air conditioning, analog gauges, center console and a Becker BC/FM
sound system (BC is European for AM).
Straight Six Power-
The sedan is powered by a 2.8L M130 straight-6, a SOHC design with
2 valves per cylinder and Bosch mechanical fuel injection. This
silky-smooth gasoline motor was rated at 158hp and 177lb/ft of
torque and is backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox with floor shifter
that performs flawlessly. The chassis is equipped with power
steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes and fully independent
suspension.
This Mercedes 280SE will provide a classic driving experience in
comfort and style.
