I am the original owner of this 1997 Chevy with only 30,270 original miles. The reason I bought this truck was to tow my classic 1971 Chevy Camaro to and from car shows. I special ordered this truck with the towing package which included a transmission cooler and an oil cooler which come in handy in Texas. I liked the originality of my Camaro and also wanted to keep my truck mostly original. The only changes I have made are the Foose wheels, a stainless front grill with LED Park lights, a rear leaf spring drop shackle kit to lower the rear stance 2", a hard bed lid, Flowmaster dual exhaust, and the upgraded twin calipers and slotted rotors. A Hypercharger programmer really woke up the stock Vortec 350 cubic inch and it also helps the 4L60E four speed automatic shift firmly. Lucky for me I ordered the positraction rear end, although I drive the truck like a grandpa most of the time. I also have QA1 adjustable shocks on all fours to help with the heavier wheel and tire combination. I am amazed at how well this truck rides and handles but the short wheelbase and polyurethane sway bar bushings keep it steady around corners.
