Catalina Sport Coupe. With a 389CI V8 under the hood and an
automatic transmission, this full sized beauty is ready to be
enjoyed by her new owner.
For 1964 the full-size Pontiac body design that was introduced in
1961 was squared up further still, and the Ventura package was made
available. Sales rose again to nearly 260,000, with virtually all
of those being equipped with a Hydra-matic automatic transmissions
making them great candidates for drivers!
For modern day enthusiasts, the 1961 to 1964 Pontiac Catalina is an
excellent choice for a starter collectible. Catalinas are sturdy,
their styling has worn well, and they are offered at a great price
point.
This particular example is still finished in the correct Skyline
Blue accented nicely by a clean, original appearing, tri color blue
vinyl interior featuring a factory AM FM stereo and courtesy
lighting.
The mighty 389CI V8 sits nicely in the engine compartment and is
mated to a smooth shifting Roto Hydramatic automatic transmission.
Power steering, power drum brakes, and radial tires make it a
breeze for anyone to drive. Best of all it features the famous 8
lug Pontiac wheels that attach directly to the brake drum!
