A true time capsule with only 1,625 actual miles! Original
unrestored survivor purchased from the original owner. It was just
pulled from hibernation; it has been parked in the same location
for over 40 years! The original owner leased the car and put 1,500
miles on it. He then bought out the lease for a business tax
deduction. He put it in winter storage and never took it out! The
fluids have been changed and the fuel sending unit was replaced.
Other than a battery it is all original: paint, tires exhaust etc!
It has manuals and even an unused GM car cleaning kit. I mistakenly
presented a window sticker in the video; it was for a different
Cadillac. We called the owner and he said they must have given him
the wrong one at the dealer, he never looked at it. I found that
interesting!
EXTERIOR: It's amazing considering it is unrestored. Walk up to it
it looks brand new. Upon close inspection you will only find mild
patina. The long flat body panels are straight, luckily it never
picked up any dents or scrapes. Black is by far the most desirable
color on these Cadillacs, the paint is polished smooth and glossy.
The factory red pinstripe is painted on. The fillers between the
body and bumpers are in excellent shape. The chrome and trim are
straight and shiny. The plastic rub strips on the bumpers don't
even have a scratch. The padded top still looks new. The glass is
crystal clear, the weatherstrips are still soft. It has optional
wire hubcaps which still have the original tires wrapped around
them!
INTERIOR: Pure luxury, there isn't a car built today that feels
like this car inside. It is absolutely mint, seriously I did not
see even a minor flaw! Genuine leather upholstery on the seats that
you won't want to get out of because they are so comfortable. Even
the chrome still sparkles, there are no cracks, no foul smells.
It's like brand new! Full of accessories that all appear to be
working.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Yep, like new in here too and it's original.
The factory paint markings and stickers are still in place. Every
component looks proper. This fuel injected 4.1L V-8 is running
smooth as silk.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a power trunk release and an automatic
pull down. It still looks like brand new and again all original.
Under the trunk lid and the jamb are slick, the decals and
weatherstrip still looks new. The original wall to wall liner is
still excellent. The jack and spare have never been out of the car.
It also includes shop manuals the owner ordered that are still in
the box. It has a deluxe showroom merchandise guide. The coolest
thing is the box of GM car care sampler, never used! A car cover is
also included.
UNDERSIDE: It is exceptionally clean underneath. Even low miles
cars still get rusty and ugly underneath. This one looks good! The
exhaust is clean. The fuel tank and sending unit were replaced. The
brakes are working great, it has disc in front. Looking up at the
motor it is spotless. The trans too, it's a 200R4 overdrive. We
verified the motor and trans have their matching VIN number on
each. The floors are pristine metal still wearing their gray paint
from the factory.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to work it. This is so we can sell you
the best cars within reason.
This is a car and a half! These square body full size Cadillacs are
impressive due to their size, handsome looks, comfort, and the
amazing ride like you are on a cloud! This one is extra amazing due
to its extremely low miles and in excellent original condition. The
story is pretty cool too, and it's true!
