Vehicle Description
This 1952 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup is a gorgeous 1/2 Ton pickup truck
with fantastic upgrades that make it a great summer cruiser!
Chevrolet's storied history producing pickup trucks dats back to
1918 when the GM marque debuted its first commercial line of
trucks. As the years progressed, Chevy Trucks continued to rise in
popularity, producing its various trucks for consumers until the
United States' entrance into World War II when the country's entire
automotive industry halted consumer production and shifted its
entire focus to assisting the US with the War effort. Once US
automobile and truck production resumed again in 1946, Chevrolet
sold over a quarter million new pickups and the public continued
purchasing the new Chevy trucks in droves however the designs were
largely re-badged, slightly tweaked pre-war models. That all
changed in 1948 when Chevrolet completely redesigned its truck
line, now known as "Advanced Design," and that style continued into
the early 50s with only minor changes. Around the same time, the
usage of trucks began expand beyond their traditional use; that is,
as purely commercial vehicles. Rather, consumers were starting to
use their trucks, especially those of the light-duty variety, as
daily transportation leading to a general desire for more stylish
designs, coupled with more comfortable cabs. With that in mind, in
January 1952, Chevy's debuted the new Advanced-Design truck line
and touted its impeccable build quality, ease of use, and overall
driver comfort features. Moreover, the step-side, light-duty pickup
trucks were said to have been "designed to serve a wide variety of
uses" in the accompanying marketing materials in '52. While the
1952 model line was left largely unchanged from the previous year's
design, a major improvement occurred with regards to the door
handles shifting away from the twist-style handles in 1951 to brand
new push-button exterior door handles. Recently, the Advance-Design
light-duty Chevy Trucks have been a favorite of many restomodders
likely due to their iconic design along with the substantial
availability of parts and upgrades. By receiving modern amenities,

of styling add-ons, these early 50s trucks are more comfortable and
