Vehicle Description
Chassis No. WP0AC2997TS376003
The 993-generation Porsche 911 Turbo holds exalted status among
Porsche enthusiasts and fans of 1990s sports cars in equal measure,
representing the pinnacle of the air-cooled, flat-six 911 design.
Offered for only 1996 and 1997 in the U.S., the 911 Turbo delivered
400 horsepower via sequential twin turbos and all-wheel drive,
achieving the run to 60 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds and a
quarter-mile dash in 12.7 seconds. Combining blistering performance
with exceptional comfort and drivability, Car and Driver praised
the 911 Turbo as "the planet's most eminently practical
supercar."
Finished in January 1996 in Polar Silver Metallic over an optional
Rubicon supple leather interior, a copy of the original window
sticker shows it was sold through Southpointe Motorcars of
Sarasota, Florida, now known as Suncoast Porsche. Optional
equipment included a remote trunk-mounted CD changer, Digital Sound
Package, driver's-side lumbar support, and front floor mats with
Porsche logo. Perhaps most impressive is the center console
upholstered in color to sample Rubicon Grey that features a
Porsche-branded cellular telephone. The $3,134 option is rarely
seen and only offered by Porsche Exclusive, yet makes the perfect
accompaniment to the luxurious interior-a hallmark of every 911
Turbo produced since 1975. The clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report
reveals original ownership until 2024, a remarkable span of 28
years spent with a clearly beloved automobile. The CARFAX records
an impressive 51 service visits at Suncoast in that time, nearly
twice yearly by a clearly meticulous owner.
In 2024, the car was acquired by just its second owner with 31,154
miles and a fresh service was completed at Suncoast Porsche, of
course. The consignor notes that the original owner was said to
have used the car only a handful of times per year, and
meticulously maintained the car, requesting the dealership to
service every year since 1996 and remedy any and all issues. At
cataloging, the car shows 31,170 miles-just 16 since acquisition.
It is offered unmodified, stock condition with service records and
a VIN Analytics report, along with its books, tools, air
compressor, and a photocopy of its window sticker. The last
air-cooled 911 Turbo truly needs no grandiose rhetoric, a truly
special thing. Porsche would have it no other way.
