Stage 1 convertible is powered by its matching-numbers 455ci V8
engine, retro-fit with fuel-injection, paired with its
matching-numbers Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. Finished
in its factory original Fire Red exterior color (code 75) with a
white power convertible top, it is equipped with factory air
conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows and
factory black bucket seats and center console. This Stage 1
convertible rides on Super Sport wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich
Radial T/A tires. According to the official records maintained by
the Sloan Museum, Buick manufactured a total of 1,416 1970 GS 455
convertibles at three different plants in 1970. Of these, only 232
convertibles were built with the Stage 1 performance option. The
sale includes a binder containing a Window Sticker reprint and
