European Collectibles sold this 356 Convertible in July of 2003 to
a repeat client residing in Central California, who had this 356
for 17 years. The last significant service occurred in September
2019 and included an oil change, valve adjustment, brake
inspection, linkage repair, rebuilding of the kingpins, and
installing a front disc brake conversion; $ 3,092 was spent. In
2020, European Collectibles sold this Super 90 Cabriolet to the
current owner, and it was added to his collection; it benefited
from a climate-controlled garage and routine services conducted by
Hendrick Porsche in North Carolina. On June 5, 2021, at 21,649
miles, Hendrick Porsche replaced the valve cover gaskets, rebuilt
the fuel pump, replaced the oil sump plate seal, changed the
gearbox fluids, replaced the shift shaft seal, and flushed the
brake fluid. A compression test was performed at that time, with
the following results: 1) 148, 2) 148, 3) 146, 4) 149. On October
11, 2021, at 21,715 miles, Hendrick Porsche rebuilt the
carburetors, refurbished the distributor, and replaced the battery.
Most recently, at 21,890 miles, Hendrick Porsche has done an oil
service and repaired the fuel lines and the shift coupler.
Equipped with its matching 1600cc Super-90 flat-four engine (Type
616/7) paired with its matching four-speed manual transmission
(Type 741). This 356 performs flawlessly and produces 90
horsepower. The 741 manual 4-speed shifts through the gears
smoothly and the four-wheel drum braking system has been upgraded
to include the front disc brake conversion. Complete with owner's
manual, Porsche Kardex, spare wheel, jack, and service records.
This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a well-maintained,
numbers-matching Super-90 Cabriolet that has been finished to a
very high standard!
