Vehicle Description
This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by its original,
matching-numbers 427/390hp V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual
transmission. It is one of 5,116 built with this engine for 1966.
Finished in Rally Red over a standard black vinyl interior, this
coupe features a bubble hood, Soft Ray tinted glass, a
posi-traction rear axle, off-road exhaust, a teakwood steering
wheel, power steering and an AM/FM radio. It received a lacquer
repaint and a complete frame-on restoration to NCRS specifications,
completed by a master NCRS judge in 2017. The car has earned two
NCRS Top Flight Awards with an average score of 96.6, as well as a
Bloomington Gold Certification. All judging awards, score sheets
and two books of restoration receipts are included. Subsequent to
judging, the rear chassis was restored to NCRS standards. This
Corvette was the subject of a rotisserie restoration performed for
a Ronald McDonald House raffle and scored 96 on a Corvette
evaluation. It has won multiple Best of Show awards at South
