Running Boards Custom Tubular Frame Car has collector owned and
garaged year round, only taken out on occasion for local cruise
nights, parades, car shows and ice cream runs with family. Previous
owner mentioned it was built about 15 years ago. Body is believed
to be a Downs body, but not sure on that. Nice clean lines and
workmanship is very good overall, just not a $100k build. Paint
shows very nicely and looks great, with minor imperfections here
and there, small touchups and some scratches. Plenty of shine and
luster and draws a crowd getting thumbs up anywhere you take it.
Again, NOT perfect paint. Doors open and close well, custom chopped
windshield, and all the like you'd expect from a quality body kit.
Mechanically the car has a sbc V8 that owner claims was stroked to
383ci (no receipts but motor sounds great) mated to a TH-350
automatic transmission on the column that was said to be recently
rebuilt. There are a variety of go-fast goodies like headers,
aluminum intake, 4bbl carburetor, HEI distributor, dual Flowmaster
exhaust , electric fuel pump and the like. Tranny shifts good,
brakes are excellent and pretty new, so if you stop on them you'll
go through the windshield. Lights and signals are connected and you
can get in and drive the car right away. Interior is VERY NICE
overall. Newly reupholstered custom racing seats, and matching
pattern door panels. Dash and console look good, adorned with
classic style gauges. Even has a later model aftermarket radio.
Overall pretty nice and clean. NO cuts, NO stains.
