Vehicle Description
The iconic first Corvette started in 1953 as a direct result of the
European market coming to the US with smaller two-seat sports cars
after WWII vs. the typical large American Automobile. The Corvette
began as a project in 1951 and was spearheaded by GM's head of
styling Harley Earl. They nicknamed the secretive effort "Project
Opel" with the result being a hand-built fiberglass sports car
which would be first shown to the public at New Yorks Motorama in
January 1953. When production began six months later, the car would
be sold new for $3,513. This particular stunning example is
finished in a pretty rare and gorgeous color combination of Fawn
Beige over Saddle interior. This car was a frame off-restoration
project that was finished in late 2022 and has roughly had about
500 miles put on the car since. The 80,000 miles on the clock are
believed to be original miles for the car itself. This is a number
matching example from what we can tell and has been told to us. The
color is correct as is the interior. It's a pretty low optioned car
with the exception of power windows. The paint and chrome are
stunning as is the interior and every other aspect of the
cosmetics. The 327 starts right up and idles perfectly immediately.
There is nothing leaking or smoking, has no funny smells and goes
down the road like a dream. These C-1 Vettes have proven to solid
the collector car world when it comes to not only value but
increasing in value. This car is ready to go. We welcome any
