Seven Hills Motorcars is offering this 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Big
Block Tri-Power Convertible. The car looks great and runs well. It
is absolutely priced to sell, always turns heads, and gets a TON of
attention going down the road, this is one of the least expensive
big block 1967 Corvettes on the market. The car has been refinished
in the beautiful and highly desirable color combination of Marina
Blue over Black Vinyl.
We have this car priced to sell and are offering an excellent
opportunity to own a very desirable Corvette at an unbeatable
value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than
the purchase price in years to come as the market on C2 Corvettes
is very hot right now and on the rise. The previous owner started a
restoration on this Sting Ray and there is still some work left to
be done. The car has a number of issues that will need to be
addressed and we have the car priced with those needs in mind.
Please peruse all of the photos, video, and other information to
get a true sense of this Corvette Sting Ray.
As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle. We
hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our Corvettes come
from owners who expect their car to go to someone that will give
the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and
encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car
inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Corvette, just give us a call.
Exterior
The blue exterior paint is in nice driver condition. As one can see
in the photos the finish has a great gloss, deep shine, and smooth
finish. The new "bolt on" wheels and are in excellent condition
with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. The brand new Redline
tires are a great compliment to the car and are correctly sized
205/75R15.The convertible top is in great condition with no holes,
tears, or frayed edges. The rear window is clear and not yellowed
or foggy. The chrome is in great shape with a nice finish an no
pitting. There are no major imperfections that have been
intentionally excluded from the photos. There are some bubbles on
the hood and other tiny blemishes around the car that were too
faint to show up in photos, but nothing that is really noticeable
from about five or ten feet away. The car has a number of body and
cosmetic issues. The left door does not close flush with the body
as one can see in the photos. The right door will close all the
way, but contacts the decklid. We have not been able to get the top
to latch down in the rear. The previous owner said that he never
tried to close the hood and we have never attempted to close it
either. The car has no rust issues. As one can see in the many
photos of the underside it is very clean underneath. The frame is
completely solid.
Interior
The Black interior of the Corvette is in fantastic condition. The
seats look just as nice in person as they do in the photos with no
holes, splits, or excessive wear. They are not worn in the typical
area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is
in great condition with no stains, rips, or holes. The chrome and
other brightwork inside the car has a terrific finish and looks
great. The gauge faces are nice and clean and the lenses are crisp
and clear. The radio does not work, but most importantly the dash
has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation.
There are some cracks in the steering wheel. The door panels are in
great condition, fit to the door well, the door pulls are solid,
and there no cracks on the arm pad. The dash and console are in
nice condition overall with no fading or sun damage, there are a
few tiny hairline cracks, but as one can see in the photos it is
hardly noticeable. The left seat belt does not extend. This
Corvette has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks and no
aroma of cigarettes at all.
Mechanical
This Corvette seems to be in good mechanical condition overall. The
big block engine starts right away every time, runs well, and idles
smooth. In the video in this ad one can observe the car driving
around our neighborhood. This Corvette has plenty of power and is
quite fast. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. There
is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. The gauge shows
that the engine makes great oil pressure. Also, the engine
compartment is beautifully clean and detailed.
The horn works as do the interior lights, indicators, and wipers.
The modern Red Line radial tires also greatly improve the driving
experience while maintaining a vintage look. The dash lights work.
The headlights and brights work and the lights come up, which is a
very common problem on C2 Corvettes. One can observe the lights
being raised and lowered in the video. We have driven the car up to
about 30 mph around our neighborhood, but have not had it on the
highway or at higher speeds. The shifter has some play in it. We
can sometimes get first gear, but have been unable to get the car
into third gear. Reverse, second, and fourth gear have always
worked for us, but it will sometimes be hard to get the car out of
reverse. The car has had a front clip put on it so both front
fenders and the hood are aftermarket. The door locks do not work.
The blower for the heater does not work. The parking brake handle
will not go down all the way and there are some miscellaneous fluid
leaks. The car has a 3969854 big block engine, and it is not
numbers matching, this casting number does not show up in Corvette
books and some sources say it may be a 396. The speedometer worked
when we drove the car, but we are not sure about the odometer so we
are selling the car with nonactual mileage. The starter makes
noise. The fuel gauge does not work and we are not sure if the
temperature gauge works; the clock is obviously not working. The
car has a battery disconnect switch, if left connected the battery
will drain down. We have done our best to accurately and honestly
portray this car and its needs. However, there may be things we
missed and it would be best and we would highly encourage any
perspective buyer to view the car in person to get the most
accurate version of the condition.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1967 Corvette is worthy project with a ton of
potential. We absolutely have this Corvette priced to sell and it
is one of the cheapest running and driving 1967 big block Corvettes
on the market right now. Mid-year (C2) Corvettes are, and will
continue to be, the most collectable and desirable Corvette
generation. Of the mid-years the 1967 model always draw a premium.
The value of these cars has gone up in recent years. They are
secure and wise investments for a collector. This Corvette always
gets a ton of attention driving down the road. One could easily
enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the
purchase price with some work and effort.
Other sellers are not taking the time to show the car is in such
great detail to give you all of the numbers, options, photos, and
video. This information is very valuable and important for pricing.
Any perspective buyer, for any of our vehicles or from other
sellers, should ask for all the numbers and information before he
or she makes a purchase.
