Vehicle Description
This custom 1951 Chevrolet Styleline, known as the "Business
Edition," was a Ridler Great 8 Winner at the 2011 Detroit Autorama
and was featured in Hot Rod magazine. Built by Samson Customs, it
is finished in deep brown metallic paint with golden highlights,
often referred to as "Root Beer," complemented by pewter-painted
bumpers and trim. It rides on staggered Billet Specialties wheels,
18 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear. The custom Saddle
interior features a Lokar shifter, hidden panel controls, a clean
metal dash and a custom-designed gauge cluster. The rear includes a
pair of luggage compartments, while the under-dash and rear trunk
are fully boxed and upholstered to match. The trunk lid release is
located inside the car. Under the hood is a 355ci V8 engine built
by Rick Darling Performance, featuring custom-fabricated inner pans
and a dual-intake air cleaner. The engine and heads are painted to
match the exterior, complemented by an Endurashine-finished
Edelbrock intake, an Edelbrock carburetor and polished headers. The
drivetrain includes a Turbo 350 automatic transmission, a custom
driveshaft and a 1957 Chevrolet rear with 3.73 posi-traction gears.
The undercarriage maintains the vehicle's high standards with a
custom brake system, four-wheel disc brakes and a polished
stainless-steel exhaust that exits at the center rear. ** PREVIEW
