Cooling is managed by a Ron Davis aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, an external engine oil cooler, and an external transmission cooler to help keep temperatures in check. Power is delivered through a Hughes-built 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission with a matched torque converter to the rear wheels. A Boyd baffled fuel tank with an in-tank fuel injection pump supplies fuel, while a custom 3-inch stainless steel dual exhaust system with Aero Chamber mufflers gives the 502 a deep, unmistakable big-block sound.
