One of 1,750 911S Coupes produced in 1972, this exceptionally rare
911S is notable for its one-year-only external oil fill. Finished
in Light Ivory with Black upholstery. Optional equipment from the
factory includes Bumper Horns, Rear Wiper, Halogen Fog Lights,
Bumper, Manual Antenna, Loudspeakers, Tinted Windshield, and Rear
Fog Lights.
The Light Ivory paintwork is in beautiful condition, with great
gaps and panel alignment. The upholstery is in exceptional
condition, showcasing reupholstered comfort seats in Black with
houndstooth inserts. A leather-wrapped steering wheel with a deluxe
butterfly horn ring sits ahead of VDO instrumentation and a Becker
Europa AM/FM radio. The Fuchs alloy wheels have been restored and
are fitted with Michelin XWX tires. The undercarriage is solid,
rust-free, and in outstanding condition.
As per the documentation, the entire cabin was reupholstered
utilizing authentic German vinyl and Haargarn carpets. In 2010,
European Collectibles sold this 911S to its past proprietor. In
2013, with 70,090 miles, Bill Brewster Automotive conducted a
thorough engine rebuild, incorporating new components and upgrading
to Carrera chain tensioners. In 2025, European Collectibles took
this 911S back in on a trade for a 356 convertible.
Excellent overall mechanical condition, powered by the matching
2.4-liter engine (Type 911/53) with a Bosch - Mechanical Fuel
Injection (MFI) system producing 190 horsepower @ 6500 RPM with 158
foot-pounds torque @ 4000 RPM. The manual 5-speed transmission
(Type 915) shifts perfectly throughout all the gears with a
four-wheel disc braking system. Complete with Certificate of
Authenticity, spare wheel, tool kit, and owner's manual. Matching
2.4-liter engine and a rare 1972-only outside oil fill on the
passenger's rear fender.
