The Fifty special edition is based on the already luxurious
Autobiography trim level and was available in both standard and
long-wheelbase body styles. This being the SWB. In North America,
the sole engine choice was Land Rover's muscular supercharged
5.0-liter V-8 making 518 horsepower and 461 lb-ft of torque.
Offered as a special edition, the Range Rover Fifty has several
bespoke features, exterior accents painted in Auric Atlas (that's
Black) as well as 22-inch wheels unique to only the Fifty edition.
A palette of four standard colors were offered, Carpathian Grey,
Rosello Red, Aruba, and Santorini Black. If an even higher level of
exclusivity was required, Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations
(SVO) offered only a limited number of Range Rover Fifty SUVs in
Tuscan Blue (on offer), Bahama Gold, or Davos White, replicated and
to honor the color palette and those exterior colors offered on the
original 1970 Range Rover. A special "Fifty" script lettering
created by Land Rover design chief Gerry McGovern was used for
exterior badging and could also visible on the headrests,
dashboard, illuminated doorsills, and on the center console which
numbers each vehicle as "1 of 1970."
