Vehicle Description
Telling someone you have a '55 Chevy will always bring about a bit
of curiosity from enthusiasts. But, when you drive up in this 1955
Chevy 3100 restomod pickup truck, you're sure to incite a frenzy of
photos and questions from anyone in the area. Titled as a 1958
model, this truck sports a '55 front end and cab, which, for all
intents and purposes, makes it more the earlier model than the
later. Fully repainted in this head-turning Corvette Torch Red
finish, this pickup has less than 7,000 miles on it since its
restoration.
Inside, we find a body-color dashboard, door trim, and rear window
frame, while a tan late model C1500 bench seat offers an upgrade in
comfort from the original seats this truck came with. A
three-spoke, wood-rimmed Grant GT steering wheel sits just ahead of
a trick set of Omega Kustom Instruments gauge cluster, while the
Vintage brand air conditioning is in place, and ready to blow cold
once it has been serviced. A Pioneer CD/DVD/Bluetooth head unit
takes charge of all things infotainment, making use of its Infinity
by Harmon speakers and four-channel Alpine amp to make sure the
sounds emanating from the stereo are at least as fun as those
coming from under the expansive red hood in front of you.
Under that hood, we find a clean, body-color engine bay. At the
heart of this beast is a Blueprint 383 cubic-inch crate motor,
complete with FiTech fuel injection and Edelbrock intake helping
this engine feed, while a set of long tube headers and MagnaFlow
mufflers allow it to exhale with authority. The packet from
Blueprint shows that this motor dynoed at an impressive 437
horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. That power is routed
through a new TCI 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission before
being sent out to the ten-bolt rear, where a set of polished
15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels wait shod in
staggered 245/60R15 and 275/60R15 Cooper Cobra rubber to put those
ponies to the pavement.

Not just built as a straight-line boulevard bruiser, this 1955
Chevrolet 3100 rides on a tubular A-arm front suspension featuring
adjustable QA1 coilovers in front, with a solid axle, traditional
leaf springs, and shock out back, all stiffened up by heavy-duty
sway bars at both ends. When it comes time to slow down, a set of
Wilwood power disc brakes help rein in all that power at a moment's
notice. If you've always wanted a classic Chevy, but maybe one that
isn't quite what most people would expect when they hear that, this
pickup truck is exactly what you've been waiting for. Not only does
it redefine what it means to be a '55 Chevy, but this pickup will
also make you rethink exactly what it means to 'haul.' Don't wait,
call today!
*As mentioned above, this truck is titled as a 1958 with a 1958
frame and bed and a 1955 cab and front end.
