RARE MALIBU 400! FACTORY 396 WITH Factory AIR. Very rare! Top of
the line Malibu was the 400. It came with the same big block motor
as an SS but in sheep's clothes. EXTERIOR: Clean original metal.
Really, the metal on this car is super nice. Has the factory
quarter panels, the bottom edges of the doors are dry, bottom of
the fenders are metal. The factory seams and spot welds are still
visible and clean. Body is straight and fits nice. Factory code 75
red car. Stand next to it and it is gorgeous, very glossy. Vinyl
top looks new. All the stainless trim around the top and windows is
replaced. Has tinted glass. The bumpers are re-chromed. The lenses,
emblems, grill all look great. Has 15 inch ralley wheels that look
pristine. Wider in back with some meaty Raised white letter Cooper
Cobras tires for a tough look. The weather strips are in excellent
shape, window seals and sill plates were replaced. INTERIOR:
Practically looks new inside. Not only is all the upholstery redone
but I believe the cushions are too. The seat backs, headrests,
chrome trim on the seats was replaced. The headliner and visors
look new. The carpets look new. The entire dash area is real clean
the. Center console is excellent, has original style horseshoe
shifter. Brand new polished tilt steering column with custom wheel.
Has Stewart Warner gauges under the dash. ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
Correct LS-3 396 motor. Very healthy rebuild. Upgraded cam,
Edelbrock Aluminum Intake, Edelbrock carb with electric choke HEI
ignition and a set of headers also has Chrome Holley fuel pump and
fuel regulator water pump is in aluminum, new alternator. Factory
air conditioning system has been serviced and updated with R134a
freon it has power steering and power brakes the motor compartment
is very clean looking. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Perfectly clean original
metal with a coat of spatter finish paint. Inner 1/4s are clean.
Seams in the jambs are crisp. UNDERSIDE: More dry, clean original
metal. Inner rockers, braces are clean. It has a frame off detailed
look with the floors painted red, chassis/frame is black. Upfront
it has polyurethane bushings, a sway bar and disc brakes. In back
it has Hotchkis tubular upper and lower control arms, new springs
and air shocks. Bottom of the motor is clean, has chrome flywheel
cover. Turbo 350 automatic is clean, has chrome pan. The 10 bolt
rear has chrome cover. Has custom exhaust. Very rare Chevelle with
big block, factory air and clean original metal. Very desirable! As
