Vehicle Description
This 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 Mark III BJ8 convertible underwent a
fully documented, complete nut-and-bolt, frame-off restoration.
This is one of 501 Austin Healey BJ8s imported to the U.S. in the
Golden Beige Metallic Anniversary color for the model year,
certified by the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust. The
original engine has been rebuilt and is mated to a Toyota 5-speed
transmission. All suspension is new or rebuilt. Equipment and
accessories are period-correct, except the transmission. It has an
alternator conversion, high-torque starter and electric fuel pump.
A Kool Mat hi-tech racing heat shield was used in the driver's and
passenger's floor and firewall, making the car cool and
comfortable. The rear end was lowered slightly to contour the
wheels and improve the stance. The interior upholstery by John
Skinner is period-correct, with the exception of the hand-sewn
shifter boot. Titled as a 1967 AUHE PCV. ** PREVIEW
