1965 Aston Martin DB5 James Bond Car for sale! Motorcar Classics is
pleased to offer this stunning and historical Aston Martin DB5 VIN:
DB5 1856R. This DB5 was built by the late renown movie car proper
builder George Barris who was a licensed promoter for the 007 Bond
movies. This Aston Martin is a real DB5 vehicle that was used in
various James Bond promotional events, however it was never used in
a James Bond movie.This car was sourced by George Barris'
representatives from Connecticut and was supposedly originally
owned by Aston Martin as part of their race team. It was originally
equipped with a larger and faster DB6 engine which has since been
removed from the car. The car does come with the DB6 engine
separately however, along with the original transmission and some
other parts. The frame, rear end, floor and most of the body and
suspension is original. The wheels are not original and are
aftermarket wheels from England. The interior was all redone at one
point. The Vin number is still stamped on the crossmember. Center
console armrest has also been signed by George Barris.After George
Barris acquired the car it was converted into a 007 James Bond Gold
Finger movie car. The sketches that were used to build this car
were taken from the original #1 car build. Options and upgrades
included fake machine guns from the headlights, smoke exhaust,
water hose under bumper, bullet proof protection rear trunk shield,
rotating 007 vanity plates front/rear, rotating wheel blades, agent
radar screen and more. The car was used in various promotional
events and on television for many The wheels are not original and
