Vehicle Description
This 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible is powered by a Thunderbird
Special 321/245hp V8 engine paired with a 3-speed Ford-O-Matic
automatic transmission. It has a removable white porthole hardtop,
fender skirts and wide whitewall tires with Truespoke wire wheels.
In 1957 the Thunderbird underwent a restyle; while the overall
length remained unchanged, the rear deck was lengthened, its
tailfins were sharpened and slanted outwards, and the Continental
kit was discontinued, with the spare tire moved back into the
trunk. In addition, the rear bumper was enlarged and redesigned,
with big exhaust vents at each corner. The front bumper was new and
bigger, too, complementing a new, wider grille. The '57 T-Bird
received an interior redesign as well, with a new upholstery
pattern and door trim. The restyled instrument cluster grouped
several round gauges, including the speedometer, behind the 3-spoke
steering wheel. Beneath the padded dash between the driver and
passenger is the optional Town & Country radio. This two-seat
convertible is finished in Azure Blue and is fitted with a Colonial
White interior. Formerly part of the George Shinn Collection, it
has been kept in a climate-controlled barn. ** PREVIEW
