Vehicle Description
This exquisite hand-built (2,000 man-hours) right-hand-drive 1952
Jaguar C-Type re-creation was manufactured in 2020 by the renowned
classic replica auto manufacturer Proteus. It is No. 10 of 10 of
the final production builds, and Proteus produced the last one, as
Jaguar took over the rights to manufacture and sell C-Type
replicas, which subsequently have a price point of seven figures.
The car has an all-aluminum body and authentic Jaguar components,
Tremec 5-speed transmission, upgraded radiator, brakes,
period-correct wire wheels and a totally rebuilt 1986 Jaguar
4.2-liter Straight-6 with fuel injection, which offers an
exhilarating high-performance drive that is uniquely satisfying.
The deep layered metallic black paint and the luxurious gray-Barley
leather seats accent the car's evocative shape. Original Smiths
gauges, tachometer and speedometer complement the period-correct
dashboard. This C-Type is also equipped with an anti-theft system,
racing seatbelts and a LeMans behind-the-grille racing headlight.
The car was originally commissioned and partially built to be the
personal car of Proteus's founder and CEO and, after his untimely
death, was completed by the current owner. The CEO's signature is
inscribed on the fuel filler cap. This vehicle, while enhanced and
improved, is as close as one can get to any of the 53 original
C-Types ever produced by Jaguar. **TITLED AS 1986 JAGUAR XJ6
