Vehicle Description
Originally a 19-window microbus, this 1972 Volkswagen Type 1 was
restored and converted into a 23-window Deluxe Samba. The
re-creation is powered by a new upgraded 1600cc 4-cylinder engine
with a single carburetor, paired with a 4-speed Freeway Flyer
manual transmission. The front suspension was completely rebuilt
and fitted with a height adjustment system, while the rear
suspension was also rebuilt to the original standard but lowered by
2 inches. A brand-new steering roller box with a precise roller
system was installed. The front and rear drum brake systems were
entirely redone with new parts. The electrical system is either new
or restored to like-new condition. The exterior features a two-tone
Vanilla and blue paint scheme, a pop-out safari-style split window,
a sliding ragtop sunroof, a luggage rack with a ladder and eight
skylights. Additional details include a new set of green glass, new
stainless-steel mirrors and handmade headlights with angel-eye
lanterns. It rides on 15x5.5 steel wheels with chrome-dome hubcaps
and new radial tires. The interior is fully customized with blue
and white eco-leather upholstery. The front seats three with
retractable seat belts, while an L-shaped sofa in the rear
accommodates up to five passengers with five seat belts. It
features a built-in Smart TV with Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity,
a touchscreen multimedia system with Bluetooth and a rear camera, a
laminated wood floor, a restored speedometer with an added green
LED light, and new chrome dual sideview and rearview mirrors. **
