Vehicle Description
This custom 1971 Chevrolet Camaro is a professional build known as
"The Ultimate Camaro: 598," with over 4,000 hours invested. This
Resto-Mod was built on a frame jig with all-new structural sheet
metal and body panels. This car is powered by an all-aluminum
598/800hp Scott Shafiroff big-block engine, topped with Nelson
Racing fuel injection. The dyno-proven horsepower is before being
nitrous-oxide-system-assisted, which is currently de-activated.
Gear changes are provided by a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission.
Detroit Speed provides the QuadraLink rear suspension, which also
supports their 9-inch posi-traction rear differential. It is
equipped with Detroit Speed front suspension, Baer 6-piston
calipers, hydro-boost power brakes, custom aluminum fuel cell,
complete hand-fabricated stainless-steel exhaust system, custom
hand-fabricated grille, Davis aluminum radiator and a Vintage Air
system. It also features Fesler billet hood and trunk hinges,
Fesler taillights, flush-fitted glass, shaved door handles and a
flush-fitted fuel filler door. Refinished in Mega Blue Metallic,
the Camaro body has been highly modified, featuring rockers dropped
2 inches, the firewall set back and recessed, hand-formed rear
quarter-panels 5.5 inches wider than the original, front fenders
stretched and widened 3 inches, fabricated front upper and lower
valences, custom front air dam, a custom rear spoiler and doors
widened to match the rear quarter-panels. The underside features a
full belly pan, and the car rides on Asanti engraved 22 and 24-inch
wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires. The hand-fabricated interior
features Italian leather seats with blue accents, blue LED
lighting, an extensive Alpine and Clarion sound system,
custom-fabricated console, built-in dash laser jammer/radar
detector, a retrofitted 2010 Camaro dash and an upholstered trunk.
