Built and a Factory Giallo Fly (Yellow) Example out of 45 Year
Ownership and Delivered New in JohannesburgThis rare 1970 Ferrari
246GT Dino is a highly collectible 'L Series' that was delivered
new in desirable Giallo Fly (Yellow) over black interior. The car
has been under the same ownership for the last 45 years and has
remained off the grid since 1980. Like a ghost, this car has
existed out of public view for over 4 decades. With a factory
completion date of October 16,1969, chassis 00534 was delivered new
in Johannesburg, South Africa. The car was imported to California,
USA in 1980 and registered on blue California license plates V6
DINO. Showing 58k Kilometers (36k miles) on the odometer, it runs
and drives but has been off the road for the last few years and
requires servicing and some minor cosmetics. The paint shows some
chips, dings, and flaws but the interior is overall very
presentable. Offered with a Marcel Massini report. A LHD European
version with instruments in kilometers. Following production of the
206 GTs, the more powerful and refined 246 GT model was introduced
in March 1969. Separated across L, M, and E series (corresponding
to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd). With only 357 'L Series' cars produced,
they're considered the rarest and most desirable of the three. A
development of the 206 GT, the 2.4-litre L-series had a 60mm longer
wheelbase, but retained many of the features of the previous Dino,
including knock-off wheel nuts, headrests mounted on the firewall,
a passenger foot rest, ventilation controls on the centre console,
and an external bonnet lock. Highly coveted by collectors, this 'L
Series' 246 GT Dino retaining its desirable original color
combination is sure to delight its next lucky caretaker.Chassis
