Corvette Resto Mod convertible is one of those cars that, even in
the bright lights and rainbows of color that make any great car
show a true spectacle, stand out against the competition in sharp
relief. The builder cut no corners and spared no expense in
completing this extensive frame-off rebuild, investing tens of
thousands of dollars to achieve his vision, a fact that shows in
every detail. The body was of excellent quality to begin with;
straight and clean, it is finished in classic Marina Blue metallic
base/clear coat paint with a White Stinger stripe on the big block
hood. The car features new chrome trim and weather-stripping as
well.While the matching Blue and White interior is new and looks
factory stock, it has been upgraded with new wiring, ensuring
proper operation of the refreshed original gauges and clock and
other electricals. Central to any successful Resto Mod is a great
engine, in this case GM Performance Products LS3 6.2L engine, an
all-aluminum piece with electronic fuel injection that has been
modified with a more aggressive cam for improved throttle response
and a rating of 480 HP. A Front Runner serpentine belt system
drives the power steering and Vintage Air systems. The driveline is
completed with a Tremec TKO-600 5-speed and a rebuilt Positraction
differential. Riding on new suspension, the car also features new
Borgeson power steering, power disc brakes, custom dual exhaust and
Billet Specialties aluminum wheels with Blue stripe performance
radials for just the right finish. Not surprisingly, the car has
won numerous awards and was a Top 175 pick at the Goodguys
