Vehicle Description
2019 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2LT Convertible
"Forget the Chevrolet bow tie-the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette
Stingray's performance puts it on a level with some of the best
sports cars in the world. Some of that credibility is thanks to the
growling 455hp V8 under the hood, which pairs with an excellent
manual or automatic transmission. The other part belongs to its
fantastic chassis that provides phenomenal ride and handling
abilities. Along with its poster worthy exterior design and
legitimately affordable price, the Corvette has again won one of
our 10 Best Cars awards for 2019, meaning we think it's one of the
best cars you can buy." Car and Driver online
For consignment, a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2LT convertible
with a title verified 6,752 actual miles, a one owner, garage kept
specimen in a fantastic spec that will likely find a new home
sooner than later. The 2LT package adds a number of features onto
the 1LT, including heated and ventilated seats, a 10 speaker audio
system, and heated mirrors. This is a final year C7 Corvette, last
of the front engine Corvettes which cause some, such as Road and
Track magazine, to speculate this generation will hold its value
better than others.
Exterior
If Stormtroopers drove Corvettes, this would be the one, an Artic
White street fighter with a black canvas top, forward leaning black
fender vents, and glossy black wheels. From the back, it really
does look like something from outer space, squinting tail lights
illuminating like jet thrusters as a third brake light looms large
like a UFO on top. Of course, the center exit quad exhaust tips are
so good, so special, that only the monstrous Z06 and ZR1 received
them in the C8 generation. High intensity headlights fit flush to
the corners while a black intake vent lives on the hood drawing the
eyes to the steeply raked windshield. The 5 spoke wheels are
slightly staggered in size, 19's in front and 20's in the rear,
each with super low profile ZR rated tires that put down some meaty
contact patches. The canvas top and its glass window are in great
shape, and when not in use, tuck away under a black accented
fairing that waterfalls white into the cockpit between the seats.
We could find no glaring imperfections on the exterior of this land
rocket.
Interior
Jet Black leather and plastic construct the door panel with white
thread accenting used sparingly, tastefully. Inside, that white
thread adorns the GT sport bucket seats with Mulan leather, both
with 2LT power adjustments and high head restraints. A thick sport
steering wheel has plenty of thumb buttons, but your other digits
are not left out of the party as paddle shifters are there for the
blipping. A fully electronic instrument panel puts the tach in the
center of a virtual light show with a 200 mph speedometer to the
left, and numerous curved meters throughout measuring all engine
functions of temperature, pressure, and volumes. In the center and
canted toward the driver, a large touchscreen relays the functions
of the entertainment system that includes AM and FM radio,
Bluetooth, Apple Carplay and Android, Sirius XM, and 4G LTE hotspot
capability. Over on the passenger side, components wrap around the
space creating a pod-like environment with a handle that borders
the center console which is driver focused with shifter and button
panels. Black carpet lines the floor and a sizable dead pedal is
provided to the driver. That same carpet lines a small trunk and
our tour of the interior ends without finding a single blemish.
Drivetrain
A large plastic dress piece covers most of the engine, a rip
roaring 6.2 liter LT1 V8 putting out 460 horsepower and backed by
an 8L90E 8-speed automatic transmission. All of those ponies get
sent to the back wheels of course, where 3.42 gears with limited
slip is found. Power ventilated disc brakes are the only option
here and they're on all four wheels.
Undercarriage
As expected, the underside where flat surfaces abound for
aerodynamics, is clean as could be with barely signs of use. The
dual exhaust runs down a center tunnel and widens a bit to find the
original mufflers, then exiting with 2LT 3 inch polished exhaust
tips. Suspension is mirrored on both ends, configured with short
arm, long arm, and transverse leaf springs.
Drive-Ability
We leave the mothership in the landspeeder and make our way around
the test loop with no surprises. Incredible grip and handling,
outrageous acceleration, and on point braking, all from the
cocoon-like cockpit. Sure, there are a lot of sound options that
could be blasted through the 10 speakers, but the engine sound is
music to our ears. And so is the report card, where the car scores
100 for functionality. While Classic Auto Mall represents that
these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we
cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of
your purchase.
