210-0982 Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 26th year in
the classic and muscle car business!€ The first LT-1 engine was
introduced in the Corvette in 1970 as an option. It was a raucous,
racing-inspired engine with solid valve lifters, a high-lift
camshaft, and high-winding personality that redefined small-block
performance. Displacing 350 ci (5.7-liter) with a compression ratio
of 11:1, it was rated at 370 hp at 6,000 rpm and 380 lb-ft of
torque at 4,000 rpm. It was enough to push the Corvette from
0-to-60 mph in less than 6 seconds. Street Dreams is thrilled to
offer one of these rare, high performance Corvettes! Introducing
this stunning 1970 Mulsanne Blue Corvette LT-1 convertible, a true
masterpiece of American muscle and design. This iconic vehicle is
rare, highly original, and is in remarkable condition. It is
equipped with it's original LT-1 engine, block number, 3970010
(suffix code CTK) and 4 speed manual transmission, ensuring an
exhilarating driving experience. The famous LT-1, 5.7-liter V8
offered 370 horses and way better handling than some of the higher
horsepower engines. Interestingly, LT1s were developed to satisfy a
number of unique requirements, the most important being SCCA Trans
Am regulations and the other being federal regulations that were
coming down the line. The LT1 was a small-block 350 CI V-8 that was
an engineering and technological marvel that put big-blocks and
European contenders to shame. It was high-revving and lightweight,
providing enough torque to absolutely run with competition that was
thought of as being more capable, but, thanks to the compact and
lightweight nature of the 350, the Corvette also handled very well.
So it was the best of both worlds. It came riding on a four-barrel
carburetor and this special high-performance version came out with
top power and low-end torque. This Corvette also features a tilt
steering wheel, power steering and power brakes, providing both
comfort and control on the road. It also boasts it's original paint
code 976 Mulsanne Blue exterior paint as well as original trim code
411 blue interior bucket seats, dash, carpet, and trim. All are in
absolutely exquisite condition!!! Additional specs include ASTRO
ventilation and original windows, maintaining its classic charm.
With an easy to use convertible top, as well as heat, defog, and
de-ice capabilities, it's ready to tackle any weather condition.
The VIN, 194670S410275, decodes to a Chevrolet Corvette V8
Convertible, manufactured in St. Louis, Missouri. The build date is
5/26/1970 and this vehicle was sold from Clawson Chevrolet Sales in
Delphi, IN. Don't miss the opportunity to own a rare piece of
automotive history. Only 1,287 LT-1 Corvette's were built in 1970
with fewer than 500 being convertibles. If you have an interest in
