Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 26th year in the
classic and muscle car business. The Chevrolet El Camino has
garnered a large and loyal following of enthusiasts since its 1959
debut. The smoother ride of a suspension based on the passenger car
line combined with a useful cargo bed appealed to an entirely new
group of potential customers. Also, at a time when virtually all
pickups were spartan workhorses, the El Camino could be ordered
with a multitude of performance and luxury options that were
unavailable on most trucks at the time. Raise the vented hood and
you'll see a 350 ci version of Chevy's ubiquitous small block V8
that's been fortified with a Holley carburetor, a GMPP aluminum
intake manifold, long tube headers, and HEI. Additional features
include power steering, power front disc brakes, Vintage Air A/C, a
4-speed automatic transmission with O/D, full instrumentation, tilt
steering wheel, correct Cortez Silver (69) paint and black interior
(755), original Delco AM radio, front and rear stabilizer bars, and
aggressive tires (235/45R17 F, 275/40ZR18 R) wrapped around Rocket
Racing alloy wheels. Among this jewel's many virtues is the
outstanding, and apparently original, sheet metal that looks
amazing in its correct Cortez Silver (with subtle ghost flames on
the hood). In fact, the cargo bed looks too nice to use! If this
handsome and handy classic is your kind of cool, call the Texas
Hill Country's premier source for classic cars and the team that
can make your dream a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a
full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery,
insurance, and financing options.
