Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa presents this Awesome Twin Turbo
Chevrolet S10! When you first lay eyes on this hot rod, you'd
assume it's a show truck. And maybe that was the intent. But a
closer inspection reveals this thing was built to run. With a
Caltracs rear links, a 10 bolt with a 350 trans and custom over the
axle 3" exhaust, this thing was optimized to let the engine work!
Speaking of the engine, when you pop hood of this custom painted
beauty, you're greeted with a color matching 355 Chevy small block
being force-fed by twin .50 A/R turbos on each bank. All that extra
air is sent through a front mount intercooler and dumped down the
plenum though a 750 Quick Fuel Carburetor. The truck has never been
dyno'd but the rush from the driver's seat says it's FAST! So fast
you only get to admire the two-toned brown over champagne paint
when it's sitting still. The chassis was finished in dark brown
with gold flakes and all the underside looks nearly as good as the
top. However inside is all business with your standard S10 grey
cloth interior. The only hint to it's potential being the B&M
ratchet shifter on the floor. That's not a demerit though, because
at this price you'd be hard pressed to build the drivetrain and
chassis for the money. It's ready to be gutted with a proper roll
cage and race seat or fully customized to math the rest of the
truck. The wheels are 15" Race Stars all around with 275/60/15
Mickey Thompson ET Streets out back. Overall, the 2000 Chevrolet
S10 is right at the line of a dedicated race truck or custom street
machine. It's your choice to determine which. At this price it's
hard to go wrong.
